Southside Baptist Church

Glowing Heart ministries has many opportunities to do many fantastic things for the Lord. During my stay, we have traveled to Hawaii, Thailand, Russia and countless other places here in Texas. This week in Tennessee reminded me of how God orchestrates everything in such a way that can only be explained by Him and Him alone, and that every place we go is just as important as any other.
There were a few things which stood out to me that seemed to show the hand of God being involved. First of all, in all my years of Glowing Heart we have never traveled so far as to Tennessee for just two concerts. Nevertheless, God, in His divine judgment saw it best that we should travel this far. The second thing which made this trip seem so God-ordained is that, I think most everyone in Glowing Heart had forgotten about the trip to Tennessee. It is not that we were careless, but rather that so many things seemed to push it out of our minds, until the church asked if we were still coming. Thirdly, was that when we arrived we bonded immediately with the students. Absolutely no time was wasted in getting to know one another because as soon as we said, “hello” we were friends already. It was as if the Holy Spirit of God had already been working in their hearts, opening them up, softening them so as to accept us and the thing God had prepared for us to say before we said them.
All these things, which seemed to be God’s providential hand working, were made manifest when the Saturday night concert came about. At first I expected God to do big things but I did not expect Him to do as much as He did. Before the concert, many of the youth had been stricken with and held down by such depression and spiritual darkness. After the service, the alter was stained with the many tears which had been shed as God dealt with the darkness exposed by His glory. There was so much joy in the room because God came and truly rescued his children. Before service, there were so many spiritual chains, afterward there was freedom. There was so much freedom in the room that one of the youth could not contain it and she had to get up and tell her testimony.
God is always full of surprises; He brings us to new places, leading us to do out of the ordinary things, and letting Glowing Heart see Him save the dying. This past weekend I believe God’s hands were all over it, I am just glad that He wanted me to come along and see it.
Grace and Peace,
Mikey Saucedo
