It amazes me how we can go to a remote city in Texas and find family there that we have never even met before. This weekend we went to Riverside, a town with a grand total of 425 residents. We were so refreshed by the people in the body of Christ we found there. Their love for Christ and for others was so evident as they greeted us and welcomed us into their homes. The night we arrived, the girls and our hosts went to a little restaurant near the church that was run by a Christian man and his family. Our hosts excitedly introduced us to the family and the others working there. We were able to enjoy great fellowship as we ate and talked and laughed together. After a little while, the owner of the restaurant brought out his guitar, and we all worshipped together in his restaurant. It was so exciting to be united as brothers and sisters through our Lord Jesus, though we had never met.

At the service in the morning, it was evident that the Spirit was moving. As we sang "Victory in Jesus" the church was encouraged and our hearts were filled with the joy of the Lord. So many people told us how blessed they were. You could see on their faces that they were refreshed. But not only did God bless the people of Riverside this weekend, Glowing Heart was encouraged and refreshed by the unity in the body there. What a blessing to be received and welcomed so warmly and get to celebrate our new life in Christ together! We praise God for everything He is doing in the church at Riverside, and we hope to get to return and see them again soon!
