Glowing Heart

January 2012 Winter Reunion

Well, Its 2012 and we were so excited to kick off the Spring Semester with Winter Reunion. What a great weekend we were looking forward to after PaceSetters 2011. I saw many students on Facebook counting down the days for this weekend of fun and fellowship. This weekend was especially special for me as a leader and an official member of Glowing Heart. On Friday, students started to come earlier than the time we had scheduled, and we could see their excitement by arriving at the camp early and helping us with whatever we had left to clean or anything. Winter Reunion is a bit more relaxed than the PaceSetters camp, but we still had a time on Saturday to serve on the campus. We had some small group times also, and hearing how students have made changes in their lives and how they are growing in Christ was awesome.

As we met at our pavilion and started discussion, it was just great. Last PaceSetters, we leaders had a little difficulty because the students weren’t very open to speaking in the groups, but after 5 months, everyone was open to sharing. What a great change God had made in their lives. I just love each and every one of the students, not only my group (Blue team!), but the students in the other groups as well. I just felt that my relationship with each student is stronger than before, and that made me feel closer to God. During worship each student started sharing testimonies in between songs and sharing how God has changed their lives. In short, God is continuously working and walking with each one of us. He is just pouring His love on each one of us. I am so blessed to serve God with each one of them. Praise God! I want to give all this glory back to God as we do in Glowing Heart.
