The Lord always goes above and beyond our expectations. He doesn’t just move in the ways we ask Him to, He goes even further. This is definitely true of the D-Now at Memorial Baptist Church in Killeen, Tx. Leading up to the event, I expected God to move with power, but I didn’t expect the encouragement I would receive.

I had the privilege of being in a group with twelve ninth and tenth grade girls. We clicked right off the bat and had a great time hanging out and getting to know each other the first day. As we got into our sessions, it was so evident that the girls were hungry for God; they wanted to know Him more and follow Him with their whole hearts. Saturday night we had a worship service, and there many rededicated their lives to Christ or gave Him their lives for the first time. Later that night I was talking with one of the girls in my group who had just given her heart to Christ. She was glowing with joy over what He had done for her and the new life she had in Him! She was so excited for the journey that she was starting with Him and the things He had planned to do in and through her life. Others in my group inspired me with how much they desperately longed for the Lord. It was so exciting for me as a leader to see their passion for Him! To see God light a fire in the hearts of youth and give them such enthusiasm for life with Him is the reason I am in Glowing Heart. It was so encouraging to see Him do just that in the youth group of Memorial Baptist. I rejoice over everything He did in each one of their lives. May His Name be glorified!
