Bethany Baptist Church
by David Pooler

This past Sunday, Glowing Heart had the opportunity to minister to Bethany Baptist Church in Dallas. It was my first time going to the church, but I felt very welcomed with the quaint and colorful sanctuary. I was also able to go around before service started and meet the kind, welcoming, and diverse congregation. As service began, the congregation joined in with us in singing old hymns and new choruses. My eyes kept catching one particular lady in about the third or fourth row. She had a very joyful countenance and it made a difference in my worship experience. Our director spoke after the worship and spoke about going and bringing light outside of the church walls. He even mentioned about the importance of having a joyful countenance for what God has done for us, and again I looked over to the lady in the third row, and yes, she was still smiling! I really hope I can not only have the joy of being a child of God, but have it showing through my words, my actions, and my expressions.

One name, under heaven whereby we must be saved.
