October 2011 Jonathan's Letter

I have greatly appreciated the efforts that Glowing Heart has put forth to serve the students not only at South Park Baptist Church but at the community around her. It has been such a blessing to have the opportunity to work side by side with the wonderful group of people that you have in place. I love each and every Glowing Heart member so much. They are such a valuable part of both my life as a minister and as a father. Each Glowing Heart member always takes the time to spend time with my own children. This has meant so much to me.
Henry, I have learned so much from you. Through your leadership and example I have been able to grow in the Lord and in ministering to these students. I know that you are very busy but you always take the time to help me with whatever it is that I need help with and to teach me what I need to learn. You are a great minister and we are very lucky to have you as a part of the family of South Park Baptist Church. I have never met a more humble man of God than you, Henry. I truly mean that. I look forward to see what God will do in the upcoming year through the Glowing Heart ministry. I have intentions of starting a monthly contribution beginning in the New Year. I'm not sure how much our family will be able to commit to, but my wife and I have been praying about this for quite some time. It is time to submit and do whatever it is that God ask of us. I thank God for Glowing Heart, and the ability to work side by side with them.
Glowing Heart, thank you for your dedication to the students, and to God. You will have your reward in heaven and I know that you all do this because you love both God and people. Each one of you is very special to me and I look forward to sharing more changing moments in these students’ lives together. After all, this is why we do what we do. It is a struggle sometimes to feed all of these students and watch half or more walk away as lost as they were when they walked in the door. It is all for God. We are still planting seeds in these teenagers’ lives and showing them the love of Jesus. This is what we are called to do.
Thank you all who are a part of Glowing Heart Ministries. It is truly a unique and special group of people who do whatever they can to see that God is praised and worshipped. This group never says enough is enough. Enough is never enough for them. They all want to see more come to Christ and to surrender their live to Christ. I know that God has big plans for Glowing Heart and that He is pleased with the work that Glowing Heart is doing on a day to day basis. Not only the Glowing Heart members but anyone who contributes to Glowing Heart whether that be by money, serving on the board, praying for them, or just helping them by serving side by side with them.
